Sarah Locati, of St. Peter and Paul School in Omaha, was chosen as the winner of the bicycle, grand prize in the individual drawing.

The monetary awards, sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska, will be presented at the winning institutions over the next two weeks.

Five of the winners were chosen from a random drawing of schools that met minimum requirements as part of the N-Lighten Kids three-month program. The other five were drawn from among schools that verified school-wide participation in N-Lighten Kids Day events, held May 1-5.

A total of 14,187 kids participated in the program with 6,861 kids on 357 teams completing the three-month program and 7,956 kids from 62 Nebraska schools participating in N-Lighten Kids Day. Those participating in the three-month program amassed 983,357 physical activity points, with one point equal to 15 minutes of physical activity.
